Biking - Scenic Jenny Lake Trail, Grand Tetons

Rainy Day - Dornans and a Bike Ride
Our overcast view from Jenny Lake Campground.

It was predicted to be a rainy, overcast day.  We decided to drive south and went to the Visitors Center.  It was a wonderful museum and we learned the history of the Tetons.  We went to Dornans which  consists of a series of shops and adventure places.  We had a drink and a brownie.  I did see a job posted at Dornan's grocery which included housing.  I was very, very tempted to apply!

There is a bike trail that goes from Jenny Lake down to Dornans.  When we left the Grand Tetons,
we noticed the bike path also went all the way down to Jackson Hole.  We saw many people
out bike riding.  It was a wonderful trail!

This was our campsite at Jenny Lake.

It wasn't too overcast so we rode our bikes on the scenic Jenny Lake Trail.  The trail was 3 1/2 miles long one way.  It wasn't too steep in any one place, but did go up and down.  Although it was overcast, it was a beautiful ride along Jenny Lake and then along part of String Lake.  On the way back, we stopped at the Jenny Lake Lodge.  It was a beautiful lodge that apparently must be one of the nicer places to stay within the Grand Tetons.

Cool Grand Tetons bus.  We saw many touring vehicles within the park.
On our way back, we saw this deer in the woods just off the bike path.
