Kayaking - Price Lake

Kayaking- Price Lake                      1.7 miles

It was still early enough in the day and the weather was nice so we loaded up the kayaks to kayak around the lake.  It felt a bit colder on the lake but it was not unbearable. We did even pass some icicles hanging on the trees. It only took us an hour to paddle the perimeter of the lake. The water was clear here and almost had that tannic quality we’ve seen in other rivers in the south.

After our hiking and kayaking trip at Price like we treated ourselves to lunch at The Tavern in blowing rock North Carolina. We had an orange beer on tap that tasted like Bluemoon and we each had a big hamburger. Everybody here wears masks including the servers so we felt pretty safe eating outside on the deck.
