Assistant Lighthouse Keepers 7/30- Thacher Island Flowers

 Thacher Island Flowers

The island life is not easy, but it does give you an appreciation for the simplest of things.  One thing I noticed were the multitude of different flowers that grew on this island, simple, wild and beautiful!

This patch of daisies grew near the assistant lighthouse keeper's apartment side.  It was obvious that the
grass around this clump of flowers had been mowed by previous keepers, but they too must
have enjoyed the simple beauty of these flowers.

There were some fields of dallies near the North Tower.
But, the lighthouses are always the star of the show!

If you looked closely along the trails, you might be lucky enough to find a fairy house.
The fairy houses are all made of materials found from around the island.

This path started between the house and the helicopter landing pad.
It went to the bluffs on the south shore of the island.  The trees
cover the path so the seagulls do not get into here.  It's like a secret, hidden route!

Beauty abounds!

This painted rock was found outside of the North Tower lighthouse.
A visitor must have stopped by and left it. I left it for the next wanderer.
