Tourist - Rockport, Massachusetts

 Rockport, Massachusetts

We arrived at Dave and Sharon Cohen's house in Gloucester, Massachusetts.  Dave and Sharon are a lovely couple, native to this area.  Sharon is the cousin of Anita, and they generously allowed us to stay at their house.  We went grocery shopping and came back to store our groceries in their refrigerator.  Before shopping, we toured around the town of Rockport, Massachusetts.  It's a lovely, picturesque New England town.  Rockport is well known for a fishing shack, located on the harbor - Motif #1 and is often the subject of puzzles.  Rockport got it's start in the 1800's as an artist colony and art shops are still very prevalent here today.  The town is a photographer's dream as it's so colorful and there is a perfect photo to be found in every direction that you look!

This is our first view of Straightsmouth lighthouse.  We could see it from across the harbor.

There's a beautiful garden near the harbor.

Look what we found in the harbor!  A preview of tomorrow's adventure!
