Biking - Hockhocking Adena Bike Trail

We didn’t know about this trail, but Scotty found it while searching just this morning and so we decided we would try it. And then funny enough some camping neighbors walked by our site and started talking to us and told us about the biking trail and how nice it was. So after our two short hikes, we headed to Nelsonville and cycled along the path. This path is level the whole way, which is unbelievable but since it Followed a previous railway trail it does make sense. The path is shaded for many trees and it’s paved. it goes over a river several times as the river follows along the path. It was not very crowded today but we did pass some other cyclist, walkers, and even a few on scooters when we got to Athens, we went to the little Fish house for lunch, how nice is it to be able to cycle, and find a place for a beer and a hamburger. I wish we had more fight paths like this near us. We’ll just have to keep searching for them.

We went for a total of 30 miles and recycling time was two hours and 50 minutes.  Our average speed was 10.6 mph.
