Hiking - Conkles Hollow & Ash Cave

We got to Conkles Hollow early maybe about 9 o’clock, which was good because there were no crowds. This was a beautiful hike, even though it was only about a mile round-trip. The path is paved until the very end which is really only a short bit of the trail. There were two waterfalls on this trail but today they were just drips. I’m so glad I practiced my waterfall settings and brought my tripod – ha ha ha ha. Also, the weather was absolutely perfect, it was about 66° when we were hiking.

Ash Cave

This trail is nice because it is handicapped accessible up to the waterfall. Way to go Ohio. Sadly, there was only a trickle coming down from the waterfall. I imagine when the waterfall is really flowing. It goes down the stream and can be very beautiful today. There was no water in the stream up to the waterfall. And despite the reviews, we did not think the steps were that bad, it is a one-way hike back to the parking lot for a short and easy hike.
