Camping - Hocking Hills State Park

We started our day at 7:45 and got to Hocking Hills just before 5 o’clock. Five minutes before we got to the campground the skies opened up and it was raining like crazy, so much that we could hardly see the road in front of us.  We weren’t too happy about this thinking about setting up the camper in a downpour. We sat outside the reservation center and when the rain slowed down, Scotty got out to fill up the tanks with water as we only have an electric Site. We drove to site number 147 which is at the very end of The campground. Miraculously the rain stopped, and we quickly set up the trailer. We had a dinner of turkey and stuffing and a salad and after dinner Decided to go on a short walk to Rose Lake. The joke was on us as it was not a short walk as it appeared on the map. We walked down a hill through the woods and found the lake. We realize we could continue along the trail beside the lake and see the dam and come around the campground making a loop back to our site. It ended up being an hour and a half walk and we got back, quite sweaty. We enjoyed the rest of the evening, sitting in our camp chairs planning our hikes for tomorrow.
