Albuquerque International Balloon Festival - Tuesday 10/8/19
Today Scott from California was the passenger and upon landing, he said it was absolutely beautiful and they were fortunate enough to see many balloons drop down near the Rio Grande River. T he chase crew had a pretty exciting ride as we were going through fields and doing off-road driving. Chuck was driving and thoroughly enjoying himself saying the vehicle was a 4-wheel drive. Scotty got out at one point, just to see exactly how big the ravine was in front of us. I was definitely the most nervous passenger in the truck and later in the week commented that this ride scared me even more than the balloon ride. We managed to get around some barbed wire to the balloon. We were quickly learning that Koen was not very concerned about the trials and never seemed to get flustered, as long as the crew arrived to pack up the balloon, and as long as we had something for the toast.
A place where I can yak about my yakking! Now that we're both retired, we're hoping to travel more so this blog will include land based trips also!
