Hiking - National Mall, Washington DC. (1.17 miles)
Visiting with Joe is good for him, but it can be sometimes stressful for me. So when Marlene suggested that we walk around DC after my lunch/shopping visit with him, I was definitely excited. It would be good to see downtown! There's still a pandemic, although it's been more than a year and hopefully things are getting better. What was totally amazing to me and throughout this visit is that everybody in Maryland and DC wears masks. Whereas, in Tennessee, in some places it appears that the majority of people are without a mask. But, on this day in DC, it was a beautiful day - blue skies with wispy white clouds and lots of people enjoying the outdoors, including us!
