Riquewihr & Ribeauville

Riquewihr it’s truly a fairytale town. It is filled with half timbered houses, cobblestone roads, windows with flower boxes, vineyards that reach right down to the city streets, and lots of cute little shops. It’s a medieval town and still retains The original rampart walls that once protected the city. We had fun walking up and down the many picturesque alleys and we even treated ourselves to coconut macaroons.

By the time we got to our fourth Alsatian village, they were all blending together. But this one is unique because it really just follows one long road through the village. We walked up the long road and at the end we were able to see three castle ruins up on the hills Above the village. We walked partway up into the vineyards and then came back down to the village. Once again, we took probably way too many photos, but it’s hard when every corner picture perfect.
