Camping - Silver Spring State Park

We awoje to chilly temperatures -31 degrees. We drove to Silver Spring State Park with a stop for lunch and a stop for gas. We’ve discovered that BenjiBear is a good little traveler. We got into site 35 with no problems. It’s a large site and a short walk to the bathhouse. After setting up the trailer, we made a walk around the campground to the event we had seen in the park. It turns out it is a primitive arts and crafts festival. We got there after closing time but were able to walk around a little bit and talk to some of the vendors. It looks like a nice fair and is designed for the county public schools students. Although it’s going on tomorrow, we’ve decided to pass on it. For dinner we had fajitas. I had a glass of red wine left over from last night and Scotty had a Schaflys beer. We hung out in the trailer watching the Olympics  and getting settled. We’re looking forward to many paddles in the next two weeks especially after arriving to temperatures in the 70s.
