Biking - Frederikton, Canada

The skies looked a bit threatening this morning, so we moved the laundry we’d hung out just in case. We headed into the nearby town of Fredericton for a bike ride—and were happily greeted with a perfect 72°F at the start.

Fredericton boasts an extensive and well-maintained bike trail system. We ended up riding 12 miles through the city, along the river, over bridges, and down a variety of tree-lined paths. Most of the trail was paved and clearly marked, making it a smooth and scenic ride. Along the way, we passed sculptures, flower gardens, and even stopped at a small art gallery featuring some truly beautiful pieces.

To cap off the ride, we treated ourselves to lunch at the Sunshine Diner—a cozy local spot full of regulars and charm. The food didn’t disappoint, and Scotty celebrated the day with a very Canadian twist: poutine over hashbrowns!
