Sunrise on Thacher Island
We can see the South Tower from our bed, and as the gulls start squawking at sunrise, we can watch the sky change. I had observed many beautiful skies and decided today to get up and climb the tower. Ironically, today was not one of the prettiest sunrises and I'm not sure just how many times I'll be getting out of bed to climb 156 steps again.

| It's early in the morning (5:55) and as I finish my walk around the island, I see Scotty come riding up. The work on the island begins. |
