Today was our first low-key day, and it was wonderful. We thought we’d go for a bike ride, but after about two miles I realized I didn’t like my bike and couldn’t go much farther. Instead, we spent several hours at the beach, which is only a three-minute walk from our front door. The beach isn’t sandy, but covered in small pebbles, and the water was cold. We had fun discovering lots of sea glass along the shore, which made it even better. At one point, Scotty popped over to the grocery store and came back with two Radlers. I could definitely get used to this European lifestyle!
Back in our studio apartment, we hooked up Netflix and watched a movie. Afterwards, we walked just 10 steps from our front door to the pizzeria next door. Scotty ordered a seafood pizza, while I went for pasta with prosciutto in a creamy truffle sauce. It was hands-down the best meal of the trip so far—absolutely delicious!
