What a blissful night of sleep we had in our trailer! The island is fun, but after hard days of work, the beds are sorely lacking in comfort!
A five hour drive to our next campground Hickory Run State Park. We did make a pitstop at Susquehanna brewing Company and bought four cases of our favourite fruity beer. I believe this was our third time going to this brewery after our first tour years ago. It was on that tour that we told the guide we’re just here for the tour we don’t really like fruity beer and then we walked out with cases of beer, the start of a new tradition.
Hickory run State Park is on the western side of the Poconos. There are numerous trails in this area and they looked very interesting but we had arrived at four and it was still about 85° so we did not go on a hike. It may be an area worth returning to though Our campsite was nice. We just had electric. It was nestled in a forest of tall Pines and very pretty.
